Artizen is the vision of Ernie Brauchli, a third generation in the professional beauty industry. Ernie’s father, Rolf Brauchli, was the first importer of hand-held hair dryers from Switzerland, and went on to create the Solano brand of hair dryers. Rolf’s dryers revolutionized the beauty industry.

Many years later, Ernie combined his deep knowledge of the hair with the insight of master hairdressers worldwide to create a tool that maintains the health and integrity of the hair while allowing the user versatility to create any style. The first Artizen product to hit the market in 2005 was the original digital flat irons with Surround Heating™. Just like his father with hair dryers, Ernie’s irons changed the future of flat irons and professional beauty tools.

Artizen is dedicated to salon retail. We create tools that stylists love to use and pricing that makes it easy for your clients to purchase. It is important for your clients to look salon savvy every day, not just when they leave your chair. Recently the Artizen Creative Guild was formed as a community of salons and hairdressers that use and retail Artizen. Each artisan of the guild brings a unique perspective and mastery of their craft which we can learn from and continue to grow.
